Kos: biking in your bikini
On the isle of Kos you can move and lay down on the beach in one vacation. This Greek island has a wonderful climate and it is also the bicycle island of Greece. Most of Kos is flat, so you can bike around. With the Greek sun in the sky and your feet on the pedals you can enjoy of the real Greece. On the internet you will find many cycle routes on the island. There are even real bike trails and of course you can rent bikes everywhere.
Popular destination
Looking for Greek villages where time really is still remain, Kos is not
the most obvious destination. But if you like great beaches, beautiful
architecture, magnificent castles and beautiful nature, Kos is an
excellent destination. In high season there may be pressure, the island
is also a Dutch popular tourism destination and increasing each year.
But like many other Greek islands Kos is also in that tourism is
concentrated in the resorts and the bustling capital, so in the
territory still can taste authentic Greek atmosphere.

villages. Lagoudi, Zia, Asomatos, Evangelistria and Agios Dimitrios
are all picturesque villages against the wooded slopes of the
Dikaios mountain. You'll find here beautiful basilicas and a
traditional atmosphere.

Combinations
You can make a combination with the island of Kalymnos or Patmos. If
you go to Kalymnos you are flying on Kos you anyway, so a
combination is easily made. After a week of cycling on Kos, Kalymnos
is a lovely island to continue to rest. Staying on Kos, you can also
make a daytrip to this island of sponges. Other boattrips go to
Rhodes, the volcano island Nissyros and the Turkish town of Bodrum.
